Gymnocalycium ochoterenae is a species of cactus in the Cactaceae family, native to the Northeast and Northwest regions of Argentina. It was first described in 1936 by the botanist Backeb.

Description

Gymnocalycium ochoterenae belongs to the genus Gymnocalycium, a group of small to medium-sized cacti known for their globular or cylindrical shapes and often colorful flowers. The species is distributed across the Northeast and Northwest regions of Argentina, where it grows in arid to semi-arid environments typical of the Cactaceae family.
