Gymnema stramineum (P.I.Forst.) P.I.Forst. is a member of the Apocynaceae family, commonly known as the oleander and frangipani family. It is native to a restricted region of the Atherton Tableland in northeast Queensland. As of 2021, this species is listed as critically endangered due to its very limited distribution and the threats it faces in its natural habitat.
