Description
Gymnema longipedicellatum belongs to the genus Gymnema within the Apocynaceae family. It is endemic to the Wet Tropics region of Queensland, where it is found between Cape Tribulation and Mission Beach. The species was initially described in 1995 by Paul Irwin Forster and was later moved to its current name in 2021. The plant is considered to have a low risk of extinction and is assigned the conservation status of least concern.
