Gunnera monoica is a species of Gunnera native to New Zealand, characterized by its small leaves and stolon-based propagation.

Description

Gunnera monoica, described by Raoul in 1844, is a member of the Gunneraceae family and is found on the Chatham Islands, as well as in the North and South Islands of New Zealand. It is one of the smallest species in the Gunnera genus, with leaves approximately 3 cm wide. This species spreads through stolons in moist environments.
