Guioa semiglauca, commonly referred to as guioa or wild quince, is a rainforest tree native to eastern Australia. It is found from Kioloa near Batemans Bay in southern New South Wales to Eungella National Park in tropical Queensland. The species is adaptable, growing in various rainforest types, especially in regenerating areas and on sandy soils in littoral rainforest.

Description

Guioa semiglauca belongs to the family Sapindaceae and was first described by Radlk. in 1879. It is a tree species that thrives in diverse rainforest environments across eastern Australia. Its distribution spans from southern New South Wales to northern Queensland, where it is often found in areas undergoing ecological regeneration and in coastal rainforests on sandy substrates.
