Monodora junodii is a species of plant in the Annonaceae family, native to Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. It was first described by Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler and Ludwig Diels in 1899. The species is named after Henri-Alexandre Junod, a Swiss missionary and scientist who collected the type specimen.

Description

Monodora junodii belongs to the Annonaceae family and is found in several countries across southern and eastern Africa. The plant was formally described in 1899 by German botanists Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler and Ludwig Diels. The species honors Henri-Alexandre Junod, a Swiss missionary and scientist who collected the specimen that led to its formal description.
