Pyrola media, known as Greater Wintergreen, is a flowering plant in the Ericaceae family. It is native to regions including Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Europe, Northern Asia (excluding China), Southern Asia, Altay, Austria, Baltic States, Belarus, Bulgaria, Buryatiya, Central European Rus, Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, and Great Britain. The species was first described in 1804 by Swartz.
Description
Pyrola media is a member of the Ericaceae family and is commonly referred to as Greater Wintergreen. It is found across northern and eastern Europe as well as Western Asia. The plant is part of the genus Pyrola and was first published in 1804 by the botanist Swartz.
