Great White Trillium
Trillium grandiflorum (Michx.) Salisb.

Trillium grandiflorum (Michx.) Salisb., known as Great White Trillium, is a flowering plant in the Melanthiaceae family. It is a monocot, herbaceous perennial native to eastern North America, ranging from northern Quebec to the southern U.S., through the Appalachian Mountains, and into northern Georgia, extending west to Minnesota. Isolated populations are also found in Nova Scotia, Maine, southern Illinois, and Iowa.
Description
Trillium grandiflorum is a herbaceous perennial plant in the Melanthiaceae family. It is native to eastern North America, including regions such as Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, the U.S. states of Vermont, Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Minnesota. The species was first published in 1805 and is commonly known as Great White Trillium in English and trille blanc in French.
