It is distributed across several regions, including South-Central and Southeast China, Japan, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk, Korea, the Kuril Islands, Manchuria, Primorye, and Sakhalin. The species belongs to the genus Gratiola, which is characterized by its typically wetland habitats and distinctive floral morphology.
