Gouania australiana is a species in the genus Gouania, belonging to the family Rhamnaceae. It was first described by F.Muell. in 1864 and is native to Queensland.

Description

Gouania australiana is a member of the Rhamnaceae family, commonly known as the buckthorn family. This species was formally described by Ferdinand von Mueller in 1864. It is endemic to the region of Queensland in Australia. The genus Gouania includes several species primarily found in the Australasian region.
