Description

Goodyera colorata (Blume) Blume is a member of the Orchidaceae family, commonly known as the orchid family. It is distributed across the islands of Borneo, Java, Malaya, and Sumatra. The species was first described in 1858 by Carl Ludwig Blume, who also contributed to the classification of numerous other tropical plants. As part of the genus Goodyera, it shares characteristics typical of the orchid family, including specialized floral structures and often epiphytic or terrestrial growth habits.
