Serruria villosa, known as the Golden Spiderhead, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Western Cape, specifically the Cape Peninsula and areas south of Constantia. The plant grows up to 50 cm tall and flowers from April to July.

Description

Serruria villosa (Lam.) R.Br., commonly called the Golden Spiderhead, is a member of the Proteaceae family and part of the fynbos vegetation. It is found only in the Western Cape region, growing on the Cape Peninsula and south of Constantia. The shrub is upright in growth habit and reaches a maximum height of 50 cm. Its flowering period extends from April to July.
