Phlebodium aureum (L.) J.Sm., known as Gold-Foot Fern, is a fern species in the family Polypodiaceae. It was first described in 1841 and is found in a wide range of locations, including Madeira, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa, Portugal, Madagascar, and several U.S. states such as Vermont and Alabama. It also occurs in parts of Europe, like Belgium and the Flemish Region, as well as in the Caribbean, such as the Bahamas, and in various protected areas like the Garden Route National Park and Kruger National Park.

Description

Phlebodium aureum is a member of the Polypodiaceae family and is commonly referred to as Gold-Foot Fern. Its distribution spans multiple continents and regions, including Madeira Island, Brazil, Colombia, South Africa, Portugal, Madagascar, and the U.S. states of Vermont and Alabama. It is also present in parts of Europe, the Caribbean, and several protected natural areas such as the Garden Route National Park, Kruger National Park, and Parque Nacional Natural Sumapaz. The species was first published in 1841 under the scientific name (L.) J.Sm.
