Gnetum latifolium is an evergreen plant in the family Gnetaceae with a broad distribution across South East Asia. Its wide range has led to an IUCN Red List assessment of 'least concern' despite some habitat loss due to logging and forest conversion to crops.

Description

Gnetum latifolium, described by Blume in 1834, is a member of the Gnetaceae family. It is found in various regions including the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Bismarck Archipelago, Borneo, Cambodia, Java, Laos, Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaya, Maluku, Myanmar, New Guinea, Nicobar Islands, Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Thailand, and Vietnam. While parts of its habitat face threats from logging and forest conversion to agricultural land, its extensive distribution has resulted in a 'least concern' status on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
