Glaucium grandiflorum, known as the great-flowered horned poppy, is a flowering plant species in the Papaveraceae family. It is native to the Middle East and parts of southern and southeastern Europe.

Description

Glaucium grandiflorum is a member of the Papaveraceae family and is distributed across several regions including Belgium, the Flemish Region, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon-Syria, Palestine, Sinai, the Transcaucasus, and Turkey. The species was first described in 1856 by Boiss. & A.Huet. It is part of the Glaucium genus, commonly known as horned poppies, and is characterized by its large flowers. This plant is native to the Middle East and is adapted to a range of habitats in this region and beyond.
