Cyanea asarifolia, known as gingerleaf cyanea or ʻōhāwai in Hawaiian, is a rare flowering plant in the Campanulaceae family. Endemic to Kauaʻi, it is critically endangered, with no more than 30 individuals in a single population as of 2005. It is federally listed as an endangered species in the United States and is part of the Cyanea genus, which is often referred to as haha in Hawaiʻi.

Description

Cyanea asarifolia is a member of the bellflower family (Campanulaceae) and is native to the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi. As of 2005, it was known to exist in only one population with no more than 30 individuals, making it one of the rarest plants in the region. This species is classified as federally endangered in the United States. It is part of the Cyanea genus, a group of plants commonly called haha in Hawaiʻi. The species was first described in 1975 by H. St. John.
