Giant Rattlesnake-Plantain
Goodyera oblongifolia Raf.

Goodyera oblongifolia, a species of Orchidaceae, is native to North America, occurring from Alaska to northern Mexico, as well as in the Great Lakes region, Maine, Quebec, and the Canadian Maritime Provinces. It is known by the common names western rattlesnake plantain and giant rattlesnake plantain.
Description
Goodyera oblongifolia, described by Raf. in 1833, is a member of the Orchidaceae family. It is found in a wide range of locations, including Newfoundland, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Vermont-US, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Manitoba, Mexico Northeast, and Michigan. This species is commonly referred to as western rattlesnake plantain and giant rattlesnake plantain.
