Description
Miscanthus floridulus is a member of the grass family (Poaceae) and is commonly referred to as giant Chinese silver grass. It is found in a wide range of locations, including parts of Asia such as China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, as well as in the Pacific Islands, including the Cook Is., Fiji, and the Gilbert Is. It has also been recorded in the conterminous 48 United States, Arkansas, and Hawaii. The species was first formally described in 1900.
