Geum talbotianum, known as the Tasmanian snowrose, is a perennial rosette herb found only in Tasmania. It is restricted to rocky high-altitude areas in the Southern mountains of the island.

Description

Geum talbotianum is a member of the Rosaceae family and is native exclusively to Tasmania. It grows in high-altitude rocky habitats within the Southern mountain regions of the island. The species was first described in 1974 by W.M. Curtis. As a perennial plant, it forms a rosette and is adapted to the alpine conditions of its limited range.
