Crocanthemum georgianum, known as Georgia frostweed, is a species in the Cistaceae family. It was first described in 1933 by Barnhart, based on earlier work by Chapman. This plant is native to several southeastern U.S. states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.

Description

Crocanthemum georgianum is a member of the Cistaceae family, commonly referred to as the rockrose family. The species is distributed across a range of southeastern states in the United States. Its occurrence includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas. The species was formally published in 1933 by Barnhart, following the original work of Chapman. The common name Georgia frostweed is used to refer to this species in English.
