Gastrochilus obliquus is an orchid species in the Orchidaceae family, native to regions including China, the Himalayas, and Southeast Asia. It is found growing on tree trunks at forest margins. Two varieties are recognized: Gastrochilus obliquus var. obliquus and Gastrochilus obliquus var. suavis.

Description

Gastrochilus obliquus (Lindl.) Kuntze is a species of the genus Gastrochilus in the Orchidaceae family. It is distributed across Assam, China South-Central, East Himalaya, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. The species was published in 1891. G. obliquus grows epiphytically on tree trunks at forest margins. Two varieties are recognized: G. obliquus var. obliquus, found in Sichuan, Yunnan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, Andaman Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam; and G. obliquus var. suavis, found in Thailand.
