Leucadendron conicum (Lam.) I.Williams, known as the Garden Route Conebush, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Western Cape and Eastern Cape regions of South Africa, specifically found in the Langeberg, Outeniqua Mountains, Tsitsikamma Mountains, Elandsberg, and the Garden Route plain. The plant can grow up to 6 m tall and flowers from October to November.

Description

Leucadendron conicum is a member of the fynbos vegetation type. It is a flower-bearing shrub that is part of the Proteaceae family, which is commonly found in the Cape Provinces. The species was published in 1967 and is distributed globally, though it is indigenous to the fynbos biome of South Africa.
