The species is found in various regions including British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Açores, Portugal, Brazil, and others. It was previously considered distinct as Oenothera lamarckiana, but is now recognized as a synonym. The holotype is housed at P, with isotypes at BR, FI, and G. Oenothera glazioviana is cultivated as an ornamental plant and has become an introduced, sometimes invasive, species in scattered locations worldwide.

Description

Oenothera glazioviana is a flowering plant in the Onagraceae family, commonly known as garden evening-primrose. The species was described by Micheli in 1875 based on a collection by Glaziou. It is now recognized as including Oenothera lamarckiana, which was once considered a separate species. The holotype is preserved at P (P 00723497), with isotypes at BR, FI, and G. The species is cultivated as an ornamental and has been introduced to various regions, where it can become invasive. It is found in locations such as British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Açores, Portugal, Brazil, and others.
