Galphimia brasiliensis is a species in the genus Galphimia, belonging to the Malpighiaceae family. It is native to the Northeast region of Brazil. The name was published in 1829 and is currently accepted, with the authorship attributed to A.Juss., based on the original work by Linnaeus.

Galphimia brasiliensis (L.) A.Juss. is a plant species in the Malpighiaceae family, which is a family of flowering plants commonly known as the Malpighia family. The species is distributed in the Northeast region of Brazil, where it is part of the local flora. The name was first described by Linnaeus and later revised by A.Juss. in 1829. The genus Galphimia includes several species known for their ornamental value and ecological roles. The name Thryallis, previously used by Linnaeus for a related group, has been rejected in favor of the name Thryallis as defined by Martius.
