Fumaria montana is a species in the genus Fumaria, family Papaveraceae. It was first described by J.A. Schmidt in 1852. The species is native to the Macaronesian region, including the islands of Madeira, Desertas, Selvagens, the Canary Islands, and Cape Verde.

Fumaria montana is a member of the Papaveraceae family, commonly known as the poppy family. The species was formally published in 1852 by J.A. Schmidt. It is naturally distributed across several archipelagos in the eastern Atlantic, including Madeira, the Desertas Islands, the Selvagens Islands, the Canary Islands, and the Cape Verde Islands. These islands are part of the Macaronesian biogeographic region, known for its unique and often endemic flora.
