Description

Fuchsia microphylla, also called small leaf fuchsia or small-leaved fuchsia, is a member of the Onagraceae family. The species was first described in 1823 by Kunth. Its name derives from the Greek words 'micro' meaning small and 'phylla' meaning leaves, referring to the plant's characteristic foliage. This species is found in a range of regions including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and various parts of Mexico such as the Central, Gulf, Northeast, Southeast, and Southwest regions, as well as Panamá.
