Bromus rubens L., commonly known as Foxtail Brome, is a species in the grass family Poaceae. It was first described in 1755 and is widely distributed across regions including British Columbia, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, and several other European countries. The species is also found in MX and EG, among other locations.

Description

Bromus rubens is a member of the genus Bromus and is native to a broad range of regions across Europe and parts of North America. It has been documented in various political and geographic areas such as Belgium, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Latvia, and others. The species was originally published by Linnaeus in 1755. A proposed typification by Kerguelen was not accepted as formal due to the reasons outlined by Cafferty and others in 2000. The plant is commonly referred to as Foxtail Brome in English and shares this common name in the target language.
