Orchis quadripunctata, the Four-spotted Orchid, is a species of orchid found from southern Italy to the eastern Mediterranean. It is a member of the Orchidaceae family and was first described in 1813.

Description

Orchis quadripunctata has subglobose or ovoid tubers and a stem that grows 10–30 cm tall, with a basal rosette of 2–4 leaves and sheaths above. The leaves are oblong-lanceolate or linear. The inflorescence is ovoid or cylindrical and many-flowered. The bracts are lanceolate, 1–3-veined, and shorter than or equal to the ovary. The flowers are purple-violet or pinkish, with outer perianth segments 3–5 mm long and inner segments 2–5 mm long. The labellum is orbicular or rhombic, white at the base with purple spots, and 3-lobed, with lateral lobes 4–7 mm long and a middle lobe that is oblong or squarish. The spur is filiform, not widened at the mouth, and about as long as the ovary.
