Description
Fouquieria burragei belongs to the family Fouquieriaceae and is part of the genus Fouquieria. It was first described in 1911 by Rose. This species is found in the Global and Mexico Northwest regions, specifically along the gulf coast of Baja California Sur. The plant is distinguished by its white to rose-red flowers, which set it apart from other ocotillo species in the area. As the only ocotillo endemic to the peninsula, it is particularly vulnerable to threats such as invasive species, tourism, and coastal development.
