Juniperus formosana, known as the Formosan Juniper, is a conifer species in the Cupressaceae family. It grows as a shrub or tree up to 15 metres tall and is native to Fujian and Taiwan. Some sources classify Juniperus mairei as a synonym, with a broader range across southern and central China, including Tibet and Qinghai. The species was first described in 1908 by Hayata.

Description

Juniperus formosana is a member of the Cupressaceae family and is found in the Global, China Southeast, and Taiwan regions. It is a shrub or tree reaching heights of up to 15 metres. The species is native to Fujian and Taiwan. Some taxonomists consider Juniperus mairei to be a synonym, which is found in southern and north-central China, extending to Tibet and Qinghai. The species was first described by Hayata in 1908.
