Description

Alchornea hirtella, known as Forest Bead-string, is a member of the genus Alchornea in the Euphorbiaceae family. It is found in various regions across tropical Africa, including Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Gulf of Guinea Is., Ivory Coast, Kenya, KwaZulu-Natal, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Northern Provinces, and Rwanda. This species was first described in 1849 by Benth.
