Helianthus floridanus, known as Florida sunflower, is a species of the Asteraceae family. It is native to the southeastern United States, occurring in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This species was first described in 1883 by A. Gray ex Chapm.

Description

Helianthus floridanus is a member of the genus Helianthus and is commonly referred to as Florida sunflower. It is naturally distributed across the coastal regions of the southeastern U.S., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The species was formally published in 1883 under the authorship of A. Gray ex Chapm.
