Leucadendron floridum, known as the Flats Conebush, is a shrub in the Proteaceae family. It is native to the Western Cape in South Africa, particularly in the Cape Flats and Cape Peninsula wetlands. The plant reaches a height of 2 m and flowers from September to October.

Description

Leucadendron floridum is a member of the Proteaceae family and is part of the fynbos vegetation. It is found in the Western Cape, specifically in the Cape Flats region stretching from Rondebosch to Kuils River, as well as on the Cape Peninsula near wetlands. The shrub typically grows to a height of 2 meters and produces flowers between September and October. The species was first described in 1810 by Robert Brown.
