Description

Phemeranthus sediformis is a member of the Montiaceae family and is found in a narrow geographic range in Washington and British Columbia. It thrives on south to southwest-facing rocky slopes, outcrops, and knolls. The species is notable for its limited natural distribution, making it one of Canada's most range-restricted plants. Despite this, it is easily transplanted and cultivated, and has been included in seed catalogues for rock and alpine gardens for many years.
