Exbucklandia tonkinensis is a species in the Hamamelidaceae family, native to regions in China, Laos, and Vietnam. It was first described in 1959 by H.T. Chang, based on earlier work by Lecomte.

Description

Exbucklandia tonkinensis belongs to the Hamamelidaceae family, commonly known as the witch-hazel family. This species is distributed across South-Central and Southeast China, as well as Hainan, Laos, and Vietnam. The species was formally described in 1959 by H.T. Chang, who reclassified material originally documented by Lecomte. The genus Exbucklandia is a small group within the Hamamelidaceae, and E. tonkinensis is one of the recognized species within it. Its native range includes subtropical and tropical regions of Southeast Asia, where it is part of the broader biodiversity of the family.
