Exacum travancoricum is a species in the Gentianaceae family, endemic to the southern Western Ghats in India. It is a herb with elliptic, somewhat succulent leaves and pale blue to blue flowers that bloom from July to November. This species grows at elevations between 950 and 1800 meters.

Description

Exacum travancoricum is a threatened plant species native to the southern Western Ghats. It is a moderately to highly branched herb with a lax, cushion-like growth form. The plant produces usually solitary, terminal flowers that range in color from pale blue to blue. It is found only in the southern Western Ghats region of India and is considered rare. The species was first described in 1869 by Bedd.
