Description

Tolpis barbata is native to southern Europe, the Mediterranean, and parts of North Africa, including Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, and Gibraltar. It has been introduced and is now common in several other regions, including California, New South Wales, and other areas of Australia, as well as parts of South America and New Zealand. The species was first described in 1791 and belongs to the genus Tolpis within the Asteraceae family.
