The plant is also found in parts of Europe, including New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, Portugal Continental, HR, IE, Belgium, Flemish Region, Walloon Region, France, The Netherlands, Great Britain, GB, NO, PT, DK, GR, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Germany. The species was first described in 1753 by Carl Linnaeus.
