Trollius europaeus L., known as the European globeflower, is a perennial flowering plant in the family Ranunculaceae. It is native to Europe and Western Asia and is protected in Russia and Bulgaria.

Description

Trollius europaeus is found in regions including New Brunswick, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, and parts of Scandinavia, as well as in areas of Western Asia. The species was first described in 1753, with the specific epithet spelled 'europeus' in the original publication. It belongs to the genus Trollius and is recognized as a protected species in several countries.
