Euclea natalensis, known as the Natal guarri, is a dioecious plant species in the Ebenaceae family. It is native to Africa, ranging from Ethiopia and Somalia to the Western Cape in South Africa. The plant produces nectar and pollen, with hirsute, leathery, opposite leaves. Its flowers grow from the leaf axils, and it bears spherical fruits that appear from October to June.

Description

Euclea natalensis is a member of the Ebenaceae family and is found across several African countries, including Angola, Botswana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. It is a dioecious species, meaning male and female flowers occur on separate plants. The leaves are hirsute and leathery, arranged oppositely on the stem. The flowers are borne in the leaf axils and the spherical fruits mature between October and June. The plant is known to produce both nectar and pollen.
