Protea rubropilosa is a member of the Proteaceae family and is part of the Protea genus. It is found exclusively in South Africa and is known by the common names Escarpment Sugarbush, Transvaal sugarbush, and Transvaal mountain sugarbush. This species was formally published in 1958 by Beard.
