Escallonia pulverulenta is an evergreen shrub belonging to the family Escalloniaceae. It is native to Central Chile, specifically the coastal and inner valleys, and grows at elevations between 5 and 1,200 metres.

Description

Escallonia pulverulenta, described by Ruiz & Pav. and later published by Pers. in 1805, is a shrub species found exclusively in Central Chile. Its natural habitat includes coastal and inner valley regions, where it thrives at elevations ranging from 5 to 1,200 metres above sea level. As a member of the Escalloniaceae family, it shares characteristics with other species in the genus Escallonia.
