Claytonia rubra, known as erubescent miner's-lettuce, is a wildflower in the Montiaceae family. It is native to western North America, occurring from southwestern Canada to the United States, including regions such as the Black Hills, Rocky Mountains, Cascade and Coast Ranges, and Sierra Nevada. It grows in coniferous forests and shrublands.

Description

Claytonia rubra is a member of the Montiaceae family and is commonly referred to as erubescent miner's-lettuce. It is found in western North America, spanning from southwestern Canada to the United States. Its distribution includes areas such as the Black Hills, western slopes of the Rocky Mountains, Cascade and Coast Ranges, Ochoco and Wallowa Mountains, Warner Mountains, Yolla Bolly Mountains, and Sierra Nevada. It is typically found in coniferous forests and shrubland habitats. The species was first described in 1925.
