Eremogone procera

Eremogone procera is a member of the Caryophyllaceae, a family commonly known as carnations or carnation family. The genus Eremogone includes flowering plants native to arid and semi-arid regions. This species was formally described in 1841 by Rchb., who based his classification on earlier observations by Spreng. The species is characterized by its adaptation to dry environments, a common trait among members of the genus.
