Eremogone cliftonii is a flowering plant in the Caryophyllaceae family, known as Clifton's eremogone. It is endemic to California, found in 27 to 33 locations in Butte and Plumas Counties. The species grows in forest and chaparral habitats on weathered granite soils. While its distribution is limited, it can be relatively abundant in suitable areas. It was scientifically described in 2007.

Description

Eremogone cliftonii, a member of the Caryophyllaceae family, is a flowering plant native to California. It is restricted to Butte and Plumas Counties, with 27 to 33 known occurrences. The plant is typically found in forest and chaparral environments on weathered granite soils. Despite its limited range, it may be locally abundant in appropriate habitats. The species was first described in 2007 by Rabeler and R.L. Hartm.
