Pyrrosia piloselloides (L.) M.G.Price is an epiphytic creeping fern in the family Polypodiaceae. It is native to regions spanning from Southwest India to Japan and Papuasia. This fern is characterized by dimorphic fronds and rhizomes covered in scales, with star-like hairs on its fronds. It is commonly found in wet tropical biomes.

Description

Pyrrosia piloselloides is an epiphytic fern species with a broad geographic distribution that includes areas such as Hawaii, Borneo, China, Japan, New Guinea, and the Philippines. It thrives in wet tropical environments and is recognized by its distinct fronds and rhizomes bearing scales. The plant's fronds are covered in star-like hairs, a distinguishing feature of the species. First published in 1974, it is also known as the Dragon-scale fern.
