Description

Ephedra foeminea is native to a range of countries, including Albania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Djibouti, East Aegean Is., Eritrea, Greece, Italy, Kriti, Lebanon-Syria, Libya, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sinai, Somalia, Turkey-in-Europe, Turkey, Yemen, and Yugoslavia. As a member of the Ephedraceae family, it is part of a group of gymnosperms known for their shrubby growth form and medicinal properties. The species was first published in 1775 by the botanist Peter Forsskål.
