Englerophytum magalismontanum, known as stamvrug, is an evergreen tree in the Sapotaceae family. It is found in rocky habitats across southern and tropical Africa, including Angola, Botswana, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaïre, Zimbabwe, Guinée forestière, and Haute-Guinée. The species was published in 1991.

Description

Englerophytum magalismontanum is an evergreen tree native to rocky areas in southern and tropical Africa. Its distribution spans several countries, including Angola, Botswana, KwaZulu-Natal, Malawi, Mozambique, Northern Provinces, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia, Zaïre, Zimbabwe, Guinée forestière, and Haute-Guinée. The species was first described in 1991 by T.D.Penn., based on earlier work by Sonder. It is part of the genus Englerophytum within the family Sapotaceae.
