Cypripedium elegans is a species of orchid in the family Orchidaceae. It is commonly known as the Elegant Cypripedium and is native to regions including Nepal, Bhutan, the Indian Himalayas, Tibet, and Yunnan. The plant is typically found in thickets, forest margins, and in forest soils rich in humus.

Description

Cypripedium elegans, described by Rchb.f. in 1886, is a member of the Orchidaceae family. It is distributed across South-Central China, the East Himalaya, Nepal, Tibet, and the West Himalaya. This orchid thrives in habitats such as thickets, forest edges, and in forest soils with high humus content.
