Echium stenosiphon is a species of the Boraginaceae family, native to Cape Verde. It is known locally as língua-de-vaca, a name also associated with Echium vulcanorum and Echium hypertropicum. The plant has been traditionally used in medicine for making cough syrup.

The species shares the common name língua-de-vaca with two other related Echium species.
